Matthew Sharpe is the author of Jamestown, The Sleeping Father, Nothing is Terrible, as well as the short-story collection Stories from the Tube. He has taught at Wesleyan, Columbia, and Bard. His stories and essays have appeared in Harper's, Zoetrope, BOMB, McSweeney's, Southwest Review, and others. His next novel will be published in the fall of 2010. He lives in New York City.
